London Midland’s beautiful floral display at Stratford-upon-Avon railway station has been awarded first place in the Public Places category of the Stratford in Bloom 2016 Awards.

This is the second year in a row that green-fingered staff have decorated the front of the station with colourful hanging baskets and placed seasonal planters on the platforms, extending a wonderful welcome to all.

Brenda Lawrence, head of route for Snow Hill at London Midland said:
“We are delighted that our efforts to enhance the station environment for passengers and the wider community have been recognised through this award. As well as bringing the beauty of these blooms to others, the journey we have been on as a team in creating this winning display has been incredibly rewarding.

Brenda, representing the London Midland team at Stratford-upon-Avon station, was presented with a trophy, certificate and garden centre voucher at an awards ceremony on 26 September 2016.

London Midland, which operates over 70 million passengers a year across 150 stations, is committed to getting closer to all of the communities it serves.
